Down the Aisle: Etsy Watch: Stunning Headbands

By Kristina

Headbands are back and they’re breaking their way into the bridal market, taking accessories to a whole new level. Beautiful rhinestones, crystals, lace and floral appliqués are accenting—and sometimes even replacing—your traditional veil. Here are some of my favorite hairpiece options for every style.

Isn’t it romantic: The elements in this band bring together the best of both worlds. Muted pink and ivory flower accents give the headband a very romantic feel, while the wrapped netting provides a more modern touch. Pearls and lace add some elegant finishing touches, making this hairpiece ideal for a classic bride looking for a little edge.

Add some sparkle: I’m madly in love with this beautiful rhinestone hairband. The center stone is modestly sized and its rhinestone accents offer the perfect amount of bling without being overbearing. Instead of using a traditional band, ribbons are used at each end to tie the piece together.  It’s simple. It’s perfect. And I want it right now.

Gorgeous in gold: The antiqued, gold-plated accessory will work beautifully if you plan on using other vintage-styled elements on your special day. White glass pearls, beads and Swarovski crystals are delicately wrapped around the band, and the bronze wiring provides sophisticated, elegant appeal.

Modern take on tulle: Craving a headband with a little more spunk? Try this unique tulle headband. The free-flowing tulle offers versatility, so you can fashion the piece to fit your personal style. And that floral trio tucked behind the ear is so cute.

Make a statement: This hairpiece offers brides a more dramatic look. Okay, so technically, this isn’t a headband, but it was so pretty I just had to include it—and it’s similar in size to some of the others, so I figure that makes it count. The beautiful rhinestone design rests atop a combination of hand sewn tulle leaves with beaded veining and velvet millinery leaves, adding a softening element to contrast the bling.
