Amanda Hoffstrom

Amanda lives and breathes pop culture. She loves celebrity gossip, discovering up-and-coming musical acts and watching TV shows on DVD. Each week, Dirty Pop will examine buzz-worthy topics to help tkTC readers determine what’s worth paying attention to and what’s not.

What is your favorite/least favorite Gaga outfit? Definitely the Hello Kitty dress!

Who would you most like to co-star in a movie with? Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep or Kate Winslet.

Where’s the one place in the world you must see before you die? The Eiffel Tower.

Who would win in a flex-off—Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino or Arnold Schwarzenegger? Arnold, without a doubt.

My favorite song to put on repeat is: “Howl” by Florence + the Machine.

On Saturday, I usually: walk to the Minneapolis Farmers Market on Lyndale Avenue to replenish my fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers. The rest of the day is spent catching up on my DVR recordings, reading magazines and books, or exploring new restaurants/bars in Minneapolis with my friends.

You should probably know that I: subscribe to six magazines (Vanity Fair, Vogue, Real Simple, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly and New York). It helps fuel my pop culture obsession.

Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, or Wild? Twins!

Reality TV is… fine in small doses. I won’t deny that some of my favorite shows (the Real Housewives franchise, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, 19 Kids and Counting, E! News) are in fact reality programs, but I refuse to watch many of the MTV and TLC reality shows. That includes Jersey Shore. Nothing is worse than Jersey Shore. Except maybe Kate Plus 8 or I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant.

I can’t live without… a toothbrush and toothpaste, Diet Coke, chocolate and the Internet.
